The Story Behind Luminarian

Leyla is the moon to my sun. She keeps me balanced, and she's the kind of person who makes life more meaningful, turning even the simplest moments into something special. We would stay up all night talking about anything and everything, and she had this way of making people feel seen like they belonged, like they mattered. And she matters more to me than words can say.

When she passed, I lost a part of myself that I'll never get back. But if there's one thing I know, it's that the people we love never truly leave us. Their presence stays with us, becoming part of who we are.

That's why we created Luminarian, not just as a fragrance, but as a way to honor the friendship that shaped us. It's a tribute to the people who make us who we are, the connections that never fade, and the stories we carry with us forever.

The name Leyla means dark beauty, and Luca means bringer of light. Our friendship has always embodied this symbolism. Leyla is my other half; our differences keep us balanced. My dream is to shine a light on her story the way the sun lights up the moon.

In astrology, the sun and moon are known as the two great luminaries. They represent the balance between day and night, action and reflection, presence and memory. Luminarian carries that same essence, the invisible thread that ties kindred spirits together, even across time and space.

Fragrance has a remarkable way of connecting us to memories. A familiar scent can bring back a moment, a place, or someone we love. It can make us feel close to something that time has taken away.

Leyla was created in that spirit. Crafted in the South of France, the fragrance is a personal tribute to a friendship that continues to inspire us. It is something tangible to hold close, a way of remembering, celebrating, and carrying her story forward.

Luminarian Leyla was born from love, and our hope is that it will also become a way of giving back. As the project grows, our intention is to support a charitable cause with the proceeds remaining after the costs of creating and sustaining the fragrance have been covered.
